Overview

The 5089 provides eight channels of 12 bit A/D conversion using the Analog Devices AD7328, and is suitable for medium resolution medium speed applications. The eight input pairs are buffered with gain of 1 differential input/differential output buffer amplifier. The pads exist for optional termination resistors. Differential Input ranges are +/-2.5V, +/-5.0V, and +/-10.0V (selectable per channel). Single Ended Input ranges are +/-2.5V and +/-5.0V (selectable per channel). Data rates are 250KHz per channel with 482KHz single pole analog input filters. A serial identification circuit prevents use with incorrect FPGA IP.
