The PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group) is a consortium of over 450 companies who collaboratively develop specifications that adapt PCI technology for use in industrial and telecommunications computing applications. PICMG? Specifications include CompactPCI? for Eurocard, rackmount applications and PCI/ISA for passive backplane, standard format cards. Abaco Systems is a member of PICMG.
The VMEbus International Trade Association (VITA) was accredited as an ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standards development organization (SDO) in June of 1993. VITA specializes in standards development for the VMEbus industry. Abaco Systems is a member of VITA and was instrumental in, for example, helping create the OpenVPX standard that is transforming military embedded computing..
