The TB3-TO-CMC-LP is an expansion adapter chassis using the Intel Thunderbolt 3 interface. The adapter allows the use of a front I/O XMC or PMC card outside its normal confines of a single board computer (SBC) or PC hosted carrier card. The TB3-TO-CMC-LP enables the deployment of XMC or PMC modules in systems previously unable to host them -- laptops, small form factor PCs, and other computers lacking add-in slots.
High speed, low latency
Thunderbolt 3 supports data transfer rates of up to 40 Gbps with extremely low latency that overcomes the chronic latency issues inherent in USB- and Ethernet-based remote devices.
For today - and tomorrow
Thunderbolt 3 provides a long-term solution, already found in the newest laptops and PCs. The Thunderbolt 3 interface is also being integrated in tomorrow’s processors and forms the architectural basis of future generations of the USB protocol, making it future-proof.
Also available with ARINC or MIL-STD-1553 interface module preinstalled and tested.
