The ICS-7004 is a short form factor PCI Express carrier for PCI Mezzanine Cards (PMC) or Processor PCI Mezzanine Cards (PrPMC), compatible with four, eight and 16-lane interface connectors found in desktop and server PCs and workstations. The 4-lane PCIe interface allows data transfer rates to be achieved that approach the maximum rates obtainable with a PMC module, in contrast to conventional PCI carriers that may limit the transfer rate or impose additional latencies.
