Overview

The RM426 provides a uniquely effective solution for integrating isolated serial I/O requirements into a PCI system. The serial ports can be configured for either the RS422 or the RS485 signaling level. Each serial port has a FIFO buffer to avoid data overrun (128 Bytes on each port). The RM426 allows for a hardware selectable delay on the RS485 direction controlled signal. Features Five isolated RS422/RS485 ports 3 on-board 82C54 Timer Counter chips Isolated I/O Can accept external clock The RM426 also provides three on-board 82C54 Timer/Counter chips which can be cascaded together. In addition, the RM426 has six isolated I/O ports. Software support We offer software drivers for all the popular operating systems (e.g. VxWorks, Linux, LynxOS, Digital UNIX, HPUX, Windows NT, Solaris, etc.).
