Overview
NEXUS I provides a dual CPU VME multiprocessor using Freescale MPC7447A CPU's at 1.0 GHz or MPC7448 CPU's at up to 1.4 GHz. This platform from Abaco Systems is designed to support high-end multiprocessing signal, imge and real-time applications in a benign lab environment. The board's distributed (asymmetric) architecture provides two separate nodes with individual processors, each with its own dedicated memory resources and is optimized to maintain high performance interprocessor communication while enabling a variety of PMC-based I/O solutions.
