This error message usually means that resources needed by the board are not available (IRQ, base memory addresses, etc.) There are a few reasons why this may happen:
- The board was installed before the API. When this happens the Windows installation process may put incorrect values in the registry. If this is the case, uninstall the API and board and then reinstall both in the proper order. Installation instructions may be found in the Quick Start and installation section in the User's Manual. This does not apply to ISA boards; they may installed in any order.
- The motherboard or some other device is taking resources without telling the OS. This is an issue with the motherboard or device, not the Condor board. Please contact the motherboard or device manufacturer for instructions.
Another solution is to try a different base memory address and/or IRQ setting. Refer to the installation section in the User's Manual for a detailed description of what base memory addresses and IRQ settings you may use, and how to change them.
