Slow Boot with Solaris 10 and Linux Hangs When Loading

Description

Upper Memory issues causing slow boot with Solaris 10 and Linux load hangs. This problem can occur on any SBC using AMI BIOS where the card has 1 GB or greater of memory installed and use the 855GME chipset with integrated graphics (IGD)

Linux and Solaris memory code limitations.

Resolution

BIOS revision upgrades are currently scheduled for the 7506, 7805, 7806, 7807, 7808, and 7851.
