Condor Engineering, a leading provider of military and commercial avionics databus solutions, today announced a major update to its Windows-based, AFDX (Avionics Full Duplex Switched Ethernet/ARINC 664) bus analyzer tool. Condor BusTools/AFDX brings improved levels of power and ease of use to monitoring, test, analysis and simulation of AFDX network nodes and switches. BusTools/AFDX can run from any standard network interface card (NIC) or with Condorâs AFDX NIC, the only interface on the market today that can support full AFDX bandwidth.
âCondorâs BusTools/AFDX product is unique in that it automatically discovers and detects AFDX traffic and organizes it according to end systems and parts, while offering intuitive drag-and-drop configuration management,â stated John Bruno, AFDX product manager. âThis new product redesign now enables real-time monitoring, data payload interpretation in engineering units, bandwidth statistical analysis, and reply of log files in a flexible format.â
Standard features include:
Auto-discovery window
- Automatically organizes traffic according to end system, virtual links, and ports
- Enables intuitive âvisual filteringâ by simply clicking on selected objects
- Right-clicking on selections brings up a context menu for functions such as monitoring and logging
- Drag-and-drop facility for building data sets and AFDX message structures
- Drag-and-drop facility for building filter equations and triggers
- Intuitive panel for building filter elements
- AFDX Port, Virtual Link (VL) and Raw Frame views
- Flexible and complex triggering operation
- Simplified multi-window displays
- Data Acquisition/Data Logging
- Simultaneous logging and traffic monitoring
- Three-panel viewer of log files
- Dissection of packet headers and data payloads
- IRIG-B synchronization between multiple boards
