This document provides a procedure to use Condor Engineering PCI or ISA devices with Microsoft's Windows XP Embedded (XPe) operating system. The procedure uses the Microsoft Windows XP Embedded development tools, which consist of the Component Designer and the Target Designer.
This Application Note assumes a basic knowledge of 1553. For information on the MIL-STD-1553 protocol, see the "MIL-STD-1553 Tutorial" available from Condor Engineering Inc. Additional information can also be found in MIL-HDBK-1553A.
