The PMC523 is a successor for the PMC423. The PMC523 is fully software-compatible to the PMC423. The hardware is not configurable with DIP switches as on the PMC423. Instead, each channel can be configured to one of the common signal protocols through factory build options. See the Part Number Configurator for details.
