GE Intelligent Platforms’ Mike Yost and Alicia Bowers Receive MESA Outstanding Contribution Award

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA   JULY 12, 2010   GE Intelligent Platforms today announced that Mike Yost, Operations Management Manufacturing Solutions Leader, and Alicia Bowers, Product Marketing Manager, Operations Management Infrastructure Solutions, were presented with the MESA Outstanding Contribution Award for 2010 at the organization’s annual conference in Dearborn, Michigan.

MESA (Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association) International is a global community of manufacturers, producers, industry leaders and solution providers who are focused on improving Operations Management capabilities through the effective application of technology solutions and best practices.

Yost and Bowers have served as MESA Conference Co-Chairs from the fall of 2007 - through to June 2010, responsible for all areas of the conference from high-level planning and decision making to theme to securing speakers and reviewing content to promotion to budgetary/financial responsibilities. The most recent conference provided attendees with deep dives into some of the most pressing challenges the industry faces today and, more importantly, into the Best Practices and actionable steps companies can take right now to meet those challenges.

Yost is also a Member at Large on the MESA International Board of Directors and Executive Committee Chair for the Marketing Committee.  Bowers has been on the Marketing Committee since 2006 helping to define and execute MESA's marketing plan, encouraging membership and building equity in the MESA brand globally by creating awareness and promoting strategic initiatives, Knowledge Base content, regional and global events, and more.
