SBS Technologies, Inc., Industrial Computers introduces the Model 714P, a general purpose rugged enclosure designed for use in a wide variety of demanding applications, such as data acquisition, factory automation, and computer telephony. "This rugged rackmount platform is ideal for the demanding requirements of industrial applications due to its high durability, reliability, and flexibility," said Jeff Jones, General Manager of SBS Technologies, Inc., Industrial Computers. The Model 714P (17''W x 19.5''D x 7''H) is priced from $ 995 (list) and is available for immediate delivery. Features The Model 714P is equipped standard with a 14-slot ISA passive backplane, but can easily accommodate a variety of PCI/ISA dual bus backplanes, offering 4, 6, or 7 PCI slots. Optional split backplanes are also available for multiple systems operation. The enclosure is equipped with a standard 300W, 115/230 VAC (65K hour rated) power supply. The three front accessible, shock mounted 5.25'' peripheral bays can be configured horizontally or vertically (Models 714PH or 714PV respectively). A fourth internal 3.5'' drive bay is also available. A variety of configurations can be provided to meet the end user's specific requirements, including special paint and silkscreen, custom I/O panels, or systems integration and test. Positive pressure cooling is provided by three high efficiency, ball bearing fans with a total of 210 CFM. The front panel has a recessed power and reset switch as well as power-on and hard drive LED displays. There is room for additional system controls, locks or special switches and connectors to meet customersí needs. The all- metal enclosure also provides EMI/RFI shielding and line transient protection.
