San Francisco, CA (March 29, 2004) – Today at the Embedded Systems Conference, SBS Technologies® (Nasdaq: SBSE), a leading provider of embedded computing technology, introduced a new 3U CompactPCI Single Board Computer to its family of industrial processors. SBS' new single slot CA3 computer is ideal for industrial automation, process control and other embedded/OEM applications.

The CA3 has an Intel Celeron Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) processor in an air cooled 3U form factor. The ULV Celeron Processor operates with a core clock of 650 MHz, providing high performance with low power consumption. For increased flexibility, the CA3 includes two RS-232 serial ports, two USB ports, one parallel port, and front-panel PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports. A floppy drive interface and an UltraDMA33 ATA interface are available for attaching an IDE hard drive or flash disk. The CA3 supports several real-time and commercial operating systems and offers the versatility of operating as a system controller or peripheral card through the dual-mode functionality of the PCI/PCI Bridge.
