The V5C is a PC99 compatible VMEbus design that can be configured with either a Pentium III or Celeron processor. It is optimally suited for real-world performance that takes advantage of advanced memory technologies and speeds up to 850 MHz.

V5C Offers Proven Design and Functionality
The V5C is configured with SVGA GUI Accelerated PCI Bus Video, Fast SCSI-2/wide, Dual High-Speed 10/100BaseT Ethernet and VME64 Block Mode Transfer capabilities.
The V5C offers improved real-time performance with speeds up to 850MHz with the Celeron or Pentium III processor. The V5C also has increased memory up to 1GB with ECC and 100 MHz SDRAM. The V5C has a 32 KB NVSRAM for data storage, a compact FLASH connector as well as M-Systems FDOC disk on a chip solution or both can be used together.
All of the V5B peripherals work with the V5C so that existing transition modules, disk drives and PMC expansion boards can be used without modification. Memory upgrades, up to 512 MB, can also been provided via one SODIMM socket for field upgrade.
The V5C Embedded PC is PC99 Design Guide compliant and compatible with the wide variety of off-the-shelf software available for Pentium-based computers. Driver-level support is immediately available for common operating systems including Linux, WindowsNT, QNX and VxWorks.
Pricing and Availability
The V5C will be available in October 2000. Pricing will start at $3,800 in the U. S. with quantity discounts for both OEM and project-based opportunities.
