GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms To Host Free Work Process Management Seminar Series

Charlottesville, VA, October 5, 2009    GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms, a unit of GE Enterprise Solutions, today released the dates for its 25-city free seminar series on Work Process Management featuring the company’s breakthrough product, Proficy® Workflow. At this free seminar, attendees will learn how this next generation in operations software technology can digitize and streamline work processes from SOPs and Corrective Action to compliance monitoring and quality. Proficy Workflow enables companies to create information-rich, circumstance-based workflows that teams can follow to better understand what’s happening around them and react in a sequenced and procedural manner that is repeatable every day.

“With Work Process Management, companies can take the revolutionary step to make every operator an expert,” said Greg Millinger, Product General Manager for Proficy Workflow. “This serves to reduce errors and costs for a leaner organization. In addition, Work Process Management helps organizations prove regulatory compliance, which is critical in nearly every industry including food and beverage / CPG, life sciences, aerospace and water / wastewater.”

The seminar will cover how to:
  • Guide operators interactively and orchestrate processes
  • Solve problems faster without resource demands on IT
  • Make best practices standard to reduce costs and improve quality
  • Record and track work processes to prove compliance
  • Capture manual data entry and automated entry with one tool – without custom code
  • Replicate processes across the organization for unparalleled consistency

Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with operations peers and take part in a workout to understand common challenges that cross over all industries – operator errors, high inventory costs, quality, employee turnover, compliance – and their solutions including reducing variation in performance, increasing quality, cutting waste and archiving work process history to meet regulations. There will be an “Introduction to Work Process Management” that will detail use cases including Electronic Work Instructions, Alarm Management, Corrective Action / Exception Management, HACCP Monitoring, Lean, Production Orchestration and more. In addition, the team will cover Work Process Management in specific industries working through challenges, best practices and solutions from companies already implementing work process management in their businesses.

Each attendee will be provided with free copy of Proficy Workflow with one full-featured, no timeout / no time limit license.
