Condor Engineering Releases New High-Density cPCI Interfaces for Rugged Military Applications

Santa Barbara, CA – August 10, 2004 Condor Engineering, a leading provider of military and commercial avionics databus solutions, today announced that it has extended its line of high-performance, high-density CompactPCI modules for 1553 applications. The new QcPCI-1553 interface is available in commercial, ruggedized and 3U conductively cooled versions with one, two or four dual-redundant channels, making it ideal for deployment in ruggedized military applications. "In addition to providing higher 1553 channel density, Condor’s latest cPCI board offers new features such as 33/66 MHz PCI bus operation, discretes, conductive cooled configurations, optional IRIG-B support and optional variable output voltage" said Bill Weil, VP at Condor Engineering. "This interface offers our customers a wide range of functionality options in a compact package," added Weil. Standard features include 1 Mbyte of RAM per channel, 45-bit message time-tagging, front I/O with transition cabling to standard 1553 cable jacks, discretes that support avionics-level voltages, I/O triggers, extensive BC & RT link-list structures, selectable transformer/ direct coupling, error injection/detection, automatic/manual RT Status Bit and Mode Code responses, along with advanced BC functionality. Optional features include an IRIG-B signal Receiver/Generator, rear (P2) I/O, variable output voltage and a range of environmental options. With the highest speed encoder/decoder in the industry, the QcPCI-1553 Bus Monitor provides unparalleled error detection and 100% monitoring of a fully loaded buses.
