High-Performance Modular Mission Computer Intel Xeon Processor and NVIDIA RTX 5000 ADA GPU
Magic2

Overview

MAGIC2 is a 2 + 1 slot 3U VPX modular line replaceable unit (LRU) suitable for high-performance computing in the harshest of environments. The system features an Intel XEON W (11th Gen) CPU (SOSA), NVIDIA ADA5000 GPU (SOSA), rear mounted fan, removeable SSD, 3G-SDI, and avionics I/O. The MAGIC2 hosts various other options for CPUs, GPUs, XMCs, I/O, cooling, and data storage. The combination of Intel CPU and NVIDIA GPU in a low SWaP-C3 package ensures use  across a wide range of commercial and military applications, including displays, situational awareness, data/radar processing, video processing (EO/IR), classification, and artificial intelligence.

High Performance, High Reliability

The MAGIC2 features an Intel Xeon W (11th Gen Core i7) processor (formerly Tiger Lake) with 8 cores, 2.6 GHz, 64 GB DDR4 SDRAM with ECC, 480 GB nVME SSD local memory and an NVIDIA RTX ADA 5000 GPU with  9,728 CUDA cores, 304 Tensor cores, 76 RT cores, 18 GB GDDR6 SDRAM, connected by 16-lanes of Gen 4 PCIe and capable of up to 42.6 TFLOPS performance providing an ideal platform for both runtime performance and ease of programming.

Extensive I/O

The MAGIC2 has extensive I/O to enable its use in a variety of deployed situations, including Ethernet, USB, ANSI TIA/EIA serial communications, 3G SDI, DisplayPort and DVI video output, MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC 429 avionics protocol interfaces, and general purpose I/O.

Future Modularity

The MAGIC2 features a backplane supporting SOSA aligned modules allowing for an upgrade path to the latest Abaco SOSA aligned CPU and GPU modules.
