SBS Avionics Technologies Announces MIL-STD-1553 Interface Board for cPCI Backplanes

SBS Avionics Technologies announces the introduction of its 1553 interface board for cPCI backplanes available in single and dual functions. The board is ideal for embedded avionics applications. "SBS Avionics Technologies is well known for its expertise in MIL-STD-1553 boards," said Rick Schuh, President of SBS Aerospace Group. "Now by offering support for cPCI backplanes, weíre expanding our product line and providing a much needed capability in this growing platform." How It Works
The ASF-cPCI interface provides a flexible, single function, dual redundant MIL-STD-1553 interface to the cPCI backplane. The Advanced Single Function (ASF) architecture provides independent operation of a Bus Controller (BC), or Remote Terminal (RT), or dual function Bus Monitor (BM). The ABI-cPCI interface provides a flexible, full-function, dual redundant MIL-STD-1553 interface to the cPCI backplane. The Advanced Bus Interface (ABI) architecture provides concurrent and independent operation of a Bus Controller (BC), 31 Remote Terminals (RT), and dual function Bus Monitoring (BM). The ASF-cPCI and ABI-cPCI interfaces equip the cPCI bus system with a complete 1553 interface, including 1553A and/or 1553B selections, programmable BC frame lists, BC scheduling capabilities, RT response tables, pointer driven transmit and receive buffers, map monitoring, 100% independent sequential bus monitoring and extensive programmable event interrupts.
