No messages are received when running an external bus on a PCCARD1553.

This problem may result when:

1. the external bus isn't enabled in the API, or
2. you're using the bus in the direct coupled configuration, and there is an open circuit somewhere on the board.

Check to see if the same behavior results when using the bus in the tramsformer coupled configuration. If so the problem is most likely "a".
