How do I install a CEI-710 or PCCARD-1553 under Windows 98SE or Windows Me?

The following procedure should be used when installing:

  1. Right mouse click the My Computer Icon.
  2. Select the Properties tab to open the System Properties window.
  3. Select the Device Manager tab, scroll down, and expand the WinRT class.
  4. Verify the "product name"Board0(Dev_@) device is shown with no exclamation point overlaying the icon. If this is true, the device driver was properly installed and you have completed the installation.
  5. If the "product name"Board0(Dev_@) icon appears with an exclamation point overlaying it’s icon, double-click this device.
  6. Select the Resources tab.
  7. For Windows 98 Second Edition and Me, click the Set Configuration Manually button.
  8. View which resource is conflicting with another device in the system.
  9. Clear the Use automatic settings checkbox.
  10. Highlight the Interrupt Request resource type and select the Change Setting… button.
  11. Select an available Interrupt Request Value that does not conflict with any device you are currently using on your computer, then click on the OK button. (If necessary, use an existing interrupt such as the printer or other device that does not conflict during product operation.)
  12. Highlight the Memory Range resource type, and select the Change Setting… button. If the No Modifications Allowed dialog box appears, proceed to step 14 of this procedure.
  13. Select an available Memory Range Value that does not conflict with any device you are currently using on your computer and click the OK button. (Use the range, or one of the ranges, recorded when you performed the “Resource Conflicts” procedure.)
  14. Click OK. You are requested to restart your computer.
  15. When your computer has restarted, right mouse click the My Computer Icon.
  16. Select the Properties tab to open the System Properties window.
  17. Select the Device Manager tab, scroll down, and expand the WinRT class.
  18. Verify both the WinRT class and the "product name"Board0(Dev_@) device are shown with no exclamation point overlaying the icon. If this is true, the device driver was properly installed.
  19. If the "product name"Board0(Dev_@) icon appears with an exclamation point overlaying it’s icon, double-click this device.
  20. Select the Resources tab.
  21. Click the Use automatic settings checkbox.
  22. Click OK. You are requested to restart your computer.
  23. When your computer has restarted, right mouse click on the My Computer Icon.
  24. Select the Properties tab to open the System Properties window.
  25. Select the Device Manager tab, scroll down, and expand the WinRT class.
  26. Verify both the WinRT class and the "product name"Board0(Dev_@) device are shown with no exclamation point overlaying the icon. If this is true, the device driver was properly installed.
  27. If the "product name"Board0(Dev_@) icon continues to show an exclamation point overlaying it’s icon, please contact Condor Engineering Technical Support.
