Overview
PPC8A 6U VME Power Architecture based SBC is a technology insert allowing enhanced high performance computing and functionality from successive boards, yet all delivered with the same hardware and software interface definitions. For example, the PPC8A single board computer's pin-out is fully compatible with that of its predecessors (the PPC6 and PPC1A). The same board support package (BSP) and Deployed Test software also runs on all three boards. This unique commitment to compatibility makes Abaco Systems the supplier of choice to system integrators in defense markets worldwide.
