Overview
PMC-ARCNET-485 provides an ARCNET controller expansion to a PMC carrier board. It is used for a variety of industrial automation, process control, and automotive applications that requires ARCNET for message communications. The PMC-ARCNET features the COM20020 ARCNET interface controller, which includes a transceiver and dual port RAM. The controller supports a variety of network topologies, including star, tree, and bus. Features an isolated RS-485 differential interface with DC/DC converter. The PMC-ARCNET has both a BNC connector and a DB-9 connector for convenient front-panel I/O access. VxWorks device drivers are available for the PMC-ARCNET. The card is compliant with standard single-wide PMC specifications IEEE P1386.1.
