Managing heat in an embedded system is vital for two reasons. The first is to maximize reliability. The second is to enable the system to run at maximum speed. In either case, the minimal size of many of today’s military platforms increase the challenges – as do the increasing functionality and performance of latest generation processors.  In this article by John Keller at Military & Aerospace Electronics, Abaco principal mechanical engineer Brian Hoden talks about how we approach the subject.
