HUNTSVILLE, Ala. Abaco Systems, a leading-edge provider of rugged, embedded systems, today announced the appointment of William Read as Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Read will be responsible for all financial transactions and functions, including accounting, compliance, tax, treasury, reporting, planning, analysis and risk management and will work with the executive team to develop key strategies to accelerate growth.

Mr. Read brings many years of experience as a senior financial and operations executive. He joins Abaco from Harmar, where he most recently served as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Read has also held senior financial positions at BBB Industries, Continental Motors and Teledyne Technologies. Mr. Read holds an MBA from Belmont University and received his BS in Accounting from University of Tennessee.
