Raising our avionics profile in Europe

A few weeks ago, we were at the AEE/Avionics and Space Testing Expo in Munich, Germany.  It was a dual conference; Aviation Electronics Europe and Avionics & Space Testing both sharing a common exhibition area.

Abaco shared a booth with our German distributor, Systerra. For both companies, the show was definitely a success because senior level representatives of many high profile European companies stopped by our booth, and we found out about some very interesting projects that those companies have asked us to discuss with them.

There was considerable interest in our newer avionics products such as our mini-PCIe interfaces for 1553 and ARINC 429, and our 1553 monitor-only analyzer.

A major contributor to the high interest in the Abaco booth was a conference presentation by Ben Daniel, who is general manager of our avionics business, and myself. The paper described the importance of open architecture technology to next generation avionics test systems, and the opportunities offered by applying them. It provided us with a great opportunity to raise the Abaco profile among the avionics community.

All in all, it was an enjoyable, productive and high quality show that we’ll definitely plan to participate next year.
